Seeking employer participation to help enable data-driven, local decision-making
As in years past, Be Noble Inc. is one of 11 counties in Northeast Indiana partnering to commission a comprehensive survey of benefits to provide data resulting in a 2023 Wage & Benefits Report for Noble County and the Region.
Wage data will be gleaned from available data sources. Benefits information will be based upon survey results and the information collected from employers who voluntarily participate in it. Responses will be aggregated from all participants across the region in order to provide data for all employers to use to develop hiring practices, as well as to inform economic developers in their work.
The survey is broken down into four categories:
- Goods Producing and Logistics
- Professional, Finance, and Information Services
- Construction
- Leisure, Hospitality, Retail and Businesses
As a result of the data gleaned and provided by survey responses, the plan is to issue the following reports:
- Northeast Indiana region – all 11 counties
- North counties (LaGrange, Steuben, Noble, Dekalb, Whitley)
- Central counties
- South counties
The level of participation will determine how many and what micro-focused reporting will be possible.
Survey participants will remain anonymous. Participation information is confidential. Workforce questions on the survey pertain to hiring, recruiting, pay increases, skills, education requirements, and drug testing policies. Questions about benefits pertain to employee and employer costs for high deductible and traditional insurance plans, as well as policies related to time off, paid vacation, retirement, and financial incentives.
The survey will remain open until April 28, 2023.
The final analysis of all data collected will be made available through Be Noble Inc. to any local employer upon request. An announcement will be made when results are available.
