The Community Learning Center (CLC) in Kendallville is the culmination of determination, community investment, and collaboration on an unparalleled scale in Noble County.
Founded in 2019, the CLC has progressed by leaps and bounds during 2020 by bringing together multiple nonprofit agencies to an environment where they can discuss, compare, and share analysis of emerging community needs; identify, develop, and capitalize on local talent and resources; and engage residents, workers, and businesses across the county (and region) to deliver and participate in a wide variety of no-cost, low-cost, and affordable programming to enhance lives, skills, and livelihoods.
Occupancy at the CLC has quickly grown to include:
- Freedom Academy, providing workforce training & certifications
- Parkview Center for healthy living, improving health & wellbeing
- United Way, supporting communities
- Arc Foundation, supporting individuals with disabilities
- Gaslight Theater, performing arts
- East Noble Schools, community outreach
- Gene Stratton-Porter Society, cultural organization
- Noble Trails, cultural organization
Soon, the Dekko Foundation offices, a key contributor and leader in the development of the center, will also relocate to the CLC in Kendallville.
