Described as Noble County’s “haven for innovators, entrepreneurs,” The Bridge at Noble County Public Library (NCPL) in Albion recently earned two full pages of coverage in the News Sun, the county’s daily newspaper publication.

In a feature story by Matt Getts, Sandy Petrie, Executive Directory at NCPL, explains how and why the “maker space” has grown. It has, in fact, been so popular that in June of 2022 equipment was relocated to a 50% larger space within the main branch in Albion.

A wide variety of technologies are available for use, not only by library card-holders, but any member of the public. Fees for use are as minimal as the costs of materials. Although library staff will not work on projects for their customers, one-on-one training is available by appointment to help people learn how to use the equipment themselves.
