Members of the Housing Coalition of Noble County held their first meeting, on August 24, 2022, since forming as a committee to lead the development of housing strategy(s) across the county. The group was informed by partners at The Hub that, due to the extent of work and collaboration already taking place, the timeline of steps typically taken during the strategic planning process will likely move more quickly than usual. A couple of communities have already identified possible housing projects, which will move up the need to develop communications strategies.

The Hub has called the next meeting, a virtual meeting via Zoom, to occur from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11. The workshop-style virtual meeting will include a lively discussion on the various types of communication needs for the Housing Strategy, including Internal, External, Stakeholder and Prospective Buyers and Renters.

  • Internal: Strategic communications with the steering committee for optimal performance in championing needed results and managing accountability
  • External: Strategic communications with community members through a web presence, virtual listening tour & social media
  • Stakeholder: How we will get great stakeholder engagement with a Housing Symposium, followed by focus groups with key stakeholders who will focus on execution
  • Prospective Buyers and Renters: Using earned and paid media strategies to promote the housing program to local residents and non-local residents.
