Automation Project & Account Manager - Full-time, salary position that is responsible for project and account management throughout the design and build process of custom automation systems. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining customer service and sales support.
Responsibilities include:
- Customer communications as appropriate (quoting jobs, project details, project management etc.)
- All new job order set ups, concepting jobs, and order entry
- New project kickoffs with customer and internal groups
- Communications with Automation Manager, ME Manager, and CE Manager
- Customer visits
- Prepare follow up quotes, quote revisions, and “adder” quotes on current projects
- Assembly and controls scheduling- manpower and priorities (floor level- occasionally)
- Coordinate scheduling with Automation Manager for installs and service
- Shipping and receiving communications and scheduling
- Progressive billings on current projects
- Marketing, lead generation, and outside representative communications
Qualifications:
- Previous knowledge/experience with automation and equipment
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls systems, and their applications is required. Hands-on production and manufacturing experience is a plus!
- CAD experience required, AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred
- Maintain professional relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Minimal travel inside the US, with little to no overnight or weekend travel required
Automation Technician - Full-time, hourly position that is responsible for performing mechanical assembly and technical debug of custom automation systems. Systems range from simple hand tooling and fixtures to fully automated robotic insert molding systems. From concept to installation, you’ll be directly involved in the entire process, bringing ideas to life and creating custom, automated machinery!
Responsibilities include:
- Mechanical assembly of custom automation systems
- Mechanical debug and troubleshooting
- Electrical machine wiring (machine to cabinet)
- Provide basic troubleshooting of electrical wiring
- Provide on-site installations/service at customer facilities
- Maintain cleanliness/organization of the shop floor and your work areas
- Maintain professional relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Estimated 10-15% overnight travel inside the US, with no weekend travel
Qualifications:
- Previous knowledge/experience with automation, industrial machinery assembly, and/or maintenance required.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems is required.
- Experience with machine shop equipment (manual mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) is a plus.
