CNC Mill Programmer / Machinist – 1st Shift
QSI Automation, Inc. is looking for an experienced CNC Mill Programmer / Machinist to join our Custom Machining division in Albion, IN.

About the Position
The CNC Mill Programmer / Machinist will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating 3-axis CNC mills, along with performing general machine shop duties. This role requires strong machining knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret prints, drawings, and models.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC mills
- Perform custom machining, toolmaking, and general machine shop duties
- Read and interpret detailed drawings, prints, and models
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gages
- Assist with a variety of machining projects
- Communicate clearly with team members to help keep jobs on track and on time
- Mentor less experienced coworkers on equipment, processes, and machining best practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have:
- Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills
- Strong understanding of common machine shop equipment
- Knowledge of machining best practices
- Ability to accurately read and interpret drawings and models
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred, but not required:
- Mastercam experience
- HAAS CNC vertical mill experience
