Incorporated Communities

Kendallville’s historic downtown Main Street is known as the “Heart of Kendallville”. A center of commerce, the city is home to an 89-acre, world-class Outdoor Recreation Complex, Bixler Lake Park, and paved trail system that connects the community’s amenities.

Ligonier, in western Noble County, is rich with diversity. The “City of Murals”, boasting nearly 40 in the downtown district, honors Jewish settlers and founders, the thriving Amish community and the Hispanic families that now comprise 56% of the local population.

Avilla is the fastest growing community in Noble County largely due to the proximity to Fort Wayne. The bedroom community is home to Northeast Indiana’s oldest five-star restaurant, the St. James, and a proud community of friendly people.

Voted one of Indiana’s Top 10 “Main Streets” in 2019, Albion is the Noble County seat and “Gateway to Chain O’ Lakes State Park”. The town is proud of its beautifully landscaped downtown courthouse square flanked by locally owned shops and restaurants.

In the heart of the Limberlost, as famed author and former resident Gene Stratton-Porter called it, is the Town of Rome City. Situated along the west shore of Sylvan Lake in northern Noble County, Rome City is a haven for outdoor and lakeside living enthusiasts.

Noble County leads the region with nearly sixty 1,000-acre farms and just under 200,000 acres of farmland. Agricultural roots run deep here, and the Town of Cromwell is surrounded by many of the region’s farm fields. Country living and family values are at the heart of Cromwell.
